KPBS – FEED THE NEEDY

A unique community kitchen in Oceanside is taking food that might otherwise go to waste and preparing hundreds of free meals for those in need amid the Coronavirus pandemic.

As many restaurants and school districts shut down or cut back, thousands of pounds of perishable food have been donated and turned into meals at the Green Oceanside Kitchen, which is operated by the nonprofit O’side Kitchen Collaborative.
